To integrate the PayFast payment gateway:

I. From the store dashboard go to: > Store Settings > Checkout > General

II. Under the 'Address' heading, check the tick-box labelled 'Show postcode/ZIP Code field':

III. Click 'Save Settings' at the bottom of the page:

IV. From there, go to: > Store Settings > Checkout > Terms

V. Check the tick-box labelled 'Show at checkout':

VI. Click 'Save Settings' at the bottom of the page:

1. Create a PayFast Account if you haven't already done so (by following the steps below)

a) Open a new tab in your browser

b) Navigate to Payfast.co.za

c) Click 'Sign Up'

d) Enter your preferred 'Email Address' and 'Password', choose 'Individual' as the account type and click 'Continue'

e) Enter your 'Business Information' ('VAT No.' is not required) and click 'Continue'

f) Enter your 'Business Address' and click 'Continue'

g) Enter your 'Banking Details' and click 'Continue'

h) Enter your 'Account Holder' information and click 'Finish'

i) Activate your account by opening the email sent to from PayFast and by 'clicking the link'

2. Return to your store tab and navigate to: > Store Settings > Checkout > Gateways

3. Scroll down to the heading 'PayFast':

4. Check the tick-box labelled 'Enable PayFast'

5. Alter the 'Payment method title' to how you see fit

6. Uncheck the tick-box labelled 'Sandbox/test mode'

7. Copy and paste the 'Merchant ID', 'Merchant key' and/or 'Passphrase' into the corresponding text boxes (by following the steps below)

a) Navigate to Payfast.co.za and 'Login'

b) Navigate to 'Settings' and then 'Developer Settings'

c) From the top of the PayFast dashboard, copy the 'Merchant ID'

d) Paste the 'Merchant ID' in its corresponding box in your store

e) Return to the tab containing PayFast and copy the 'Merchant Key'

f) Paste the 'Merchant Key' in its corresponding box in your store

g) Within the PayFast dashboard, create your 'Security Passphrase' and click on 'Save'  and copy the Passphrase

h) Return to your store tab and enter your 'Passphrase' into its corresponding box

i) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'Save Changes'
